Bobbyd's Merchant St Bbq - Emporia

Ordered a meal this evening of brisket sandwich and cheesy potatoes and I'm not even sure there's was any meat mixed in with the dried out pieces and fat I was served. Literally shredded pile of nothing. For 8 bucks that's a shame. If I had the time and it wasn't so cold, I sure would have loaded my kids up and asked for a refund. How can someone support a local business who obviously doesn't care about the food they put out? Do better. Not for me though. I will not be returning.

Went there while visiting my grandson at college. Great BBQ. Can get busy for dinner. Friendly young staff.

First Time. Very friendly service. Food served quickly. Brisket moist tasty. Burnt ends were also moist tasty. Great fried okra. Not greasy. Broccoli salad very good.

Just ok as bbq goes. Burnt ends weren't particularly tender and they needed a great deal of sauce as they weren't super flavorful. Beans and cole slaw were decent. Prices were good. Good small-town atmosphere.

Very good BBQ! This place has been around for a long time…for a reason. We stop every time we are in Emporia.
