Walnut Grill- Ellisville

We had reservations and were seated promptly on a Friday at 6 PM. Great variety in the menu. Food was hot and delicious. I thought the ambiance was good for either a couple on a date or for a larger group outing. I also liked that they had an outside patio area. Service was fine, even though we had a server in training. She was polite, attentive, helpful. We had a coupon that helped keep the pricing low.

We have eaten here several times, but Spedeini Fest gave us an excuse to return. Our first choices were unavailable which continued a trend of being out of other things like draft beers. Nevertheless, everything we did get tasted great. The restaurant may have been short staffed, but we had great service.

Sadly, not going here anymore. We've gone here off and on for about 6 years. We take family members and suggest it to friends when eating out in our direction.But, we've had 3 bad experiences here lately and won't be going back. Long wait on host/hostess to seat us (with no one ahead of us and plenty of tables), rude wait staff and busboy, and long wait time to get food (like a burger and a bowl... nothing complicated). Used to be a nice place to go, but sinking customer service has made it unpleasant enough that we'll find somewhere else.

My wife and I had dinner here on Sunday evening. I had the Walnut Crusted Salmon. My wife had the Wild Mushroom Chicken. The salmon was moist and tasty. It is the best I've had in a while. The citrus glaze was amazing. The dinner salads were very fresh and generous. Our server Dominic was friendly, professional and attentive. For dessert we had the Walnut Ball. It is a large scoop of vanilla icecream with chocolate syrup, caramel syrup and crushed walnuts. It was delicious and very sharable.

Love this place for Happy Hour. (3pm-7pm) Select drinks and appetizers are discounted. Staff is friendly and the seating area is clean.
