Cooks Steak House Saloon - Elko

The best part of our experience was the live music. Our food took forever to come out. Each plate had about 6 fries. The fish was way overcooked and dry. My burger was overcooked and was way too salty. Groups that sat down after we did receive bread and their food before we did. The waitress only checked on us a few times after being seated, and after getting food.

Ordered a $50 8oz Filet done medium. Came rare. Sent it back. Once I saw this piece of raw meat, I was somewhat turned off and suggested I order something else. Owner/chef Cook came out of kitchen and literally bullied me that she's fixing it. Never experienced that in my 60+ years of fine dining. May have been the pressure of Cowboy Poetry Gathering week but really, it that anyway to treat a customer?I won't be back!

This will be an honest review!I LOVE eating at Cook's its a great place to take friends, family, and a spouse. Food is always amazing, the staff has great customer service and always ontop of making sure you get taken care of. Sometimes they have live music playing. Desert and steaks at this establishment is mouth watering! A good drink menu for someone looking for a bit of variety. The vinegaritte is top notch and compliments the salad. Cost can be a bit pricy but well worth it!!!! The honey cinnamon butter is very delicious ask to purchase a jar to take home. You won't be disappointed to dine here.

Awesome experience service was fantastic and the food was very good. The live music wasn't that great and too loud. I should've tipped the musician just to stop playing.
