Bidra med feedbackFresh, clean, and delicious. It was my first time to visit this place. I ordered the Chirashi (12 pcs sashimi over bed of sushi rice). I knocked out one star rate because my hot tea was luke warm. I asked for a hotter tea, I was given another luke warm tea. Lol...oh well. I did enjoy my lunch, but my hot tea has to be hot. I don't mind going back here if I'm in the area.
Fresh, fresh, fresh, all the sashimi was very fresh and presented well. Our waitress Isabel made it a great experience with great service and her team.
Wow.. just wow.. this was an amazing place to have some delicious food. This place is a hidden gem. Sunday night we had a 20 min wait, which was well worth it. The menu had a great selection and some cool rolls that were different. Like the soy wrapped roll, which was good. The apps, to the rolls and the staff make this place a must stop place.
This is our second time here and once again, it was wonderful. Very lively atmosphere. We tried the tonkatsu ramen noodles and loved it. We were pleasantly surprised by the authentic flavor. The portion was quite big so it was nice the waiter automatically brought us two bowls to share. The sashimi mix was delicious as well. Very fresh and clean tasting. My only issue was that we felt a bit cheated when we ordered from the fish special menu near the sushi chefs. The price written was for the cheap nigiri version but no where did it have a price for the sashimi version. Usually it's only a few dollars more for sashimi, so when we got our check and thinking that it was $14 but instead got charged for $32 for 4-6 mere pieces of blue fin toro, we were flabbergasted. If the waiter had pointed out the price difference or if the special menu had listed the price accurately, we wouldn't have even consider ordering it. For $32, we would have gotten another sashimi platter on the menu, which was incredibly delicious and had so much more to offer. To top it off, the overpriced sashimi from the Fish Special menu tasted off and was my least favorite. The waiter only offered an apology for the confusion. I felt that it was my fault for not clarifying so I simply left it at that. But they really need to warn people of the difference in prices when it's not clearly written. Anywho, this is still a great quality restaurant and will be back for their amazing sushi dishes. I will just need to confirm prices before I order next time.
The food is always delicious, and we always receive excellent customer service! If you like sushi Umai is a must try. The chicken wings are bomb too!
