Outback Steakhouse - Elk Grove

We enjoyed our dinner very much. My son had a steak cooked medium rare. It was tender and delicious. I had the prime rib sandwich. It was terrific. The salads were good and the Brussel sprouts we ordered on the side were very tasty. The onlything I was not impressed about was the side dipping sauce for the sandwich. It tasted like it was made from bullion. Thesandwich was good enough that it did not need the sauce.

I use to love this spot but they messed up on all 4 of our orders. No more crab legs on the menu, potatoes were cold, onion appetizer was good but way to salty and we ordered it 20 mins before our food it took so long before it came restaurant wasnot packed. I asked for medium steak, it was med rare. Waitress was the only good thing about our visit here!

It was a rather underwhelming experience. My steak was overcooked and lacked flavor. The waitstaff was friendly, but it was evident they were understaffed. I don’t plan on returning.

This was my first and last visit to this restaurant. The food and service were both severely lacking. I had to ask three times for a water refill, which never arrived. My steak was undercooked, and I ended up waiting for a to-go order that the kitchen had no record of. When we finally received the to-go order, it was missing the side salad. The waitress apologized and went to get the side salad, but she admitted that she had initially prepared it for a dine-in order. Instead of making a fresh one, she just scooped the old side salad, which had been sitting in the kitchen, into a box with dressing already poured over the lettuce and croutons, resulting in a soggy salad. This location really needs better training for its staff.
