El Parian - Elizabeth City

The Carnitas are absolutely delicious. This is one of best things Ive eaten in Elizabeth City. Im often down here for travel, so Ive eaten at a wide variety of restaurants, and this is going to be a new go-to for me. If you havent tried it, you need to. The dish consists of big chunks of pork which are *plastic* fork tender, along with some crispy little pieces spread throughout. It also includes lettuce, refried beans, avocado, sour cream (the normal sides for this type of dish). One night they also included a few hot and fresh tortillas which was greatly appreciated, but the second time they did not. They were missed, but I was still satisfied. The portions are huge for the price and they include chips and salsa for free! I cannot recommend this dish enough!

Cheese dip tastes great but Ive got table spoons that hold more cheese. insanely tiny.

Steak was grizzly and fatty and swimming in loose beans and was very cold on arrival and lacked salt and seasoning

The food was hot and very tasty. The beans had just enough fresh onion that pleased this southern woman! As usual, the food well prepared. The deliver was friendly and professional!

One item received was incorrect, but amazing torta!
