Spears Creek Cafe Catering - Elgin

I must’ve driven past this place a millon times and have never gone until today on a recommendation from my fiancé who works next door. I had the fried chicken dinner with hash and rice and collard greens. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy and seasoned just right. The collards were cooked and seasoned perfectly. The hash and the rice was probably my favorite but it’s been a favorite since childhood bbqs. My daughter had ribs and fries and you know I had one of them ribs, she couldn’t eat it all anyways lol. Fell right off the bone great smoked flavor. My fiancé had the flounder with Mac and cheese and collards. The flounder was good and I felt like it would make a great fish sandwich especially with the sauce that comes with it. Also we had the portabella fries which I could probably down three orders of those. The staff were also very friendly and the restaurant was extremely clean and tidy. The best BLT! Made with apple wood smoked bacon, fried green tomatoes and sriracha sauce. Makes me want another.

Exceptional service and the food was amazing!! The garlic mash potatoes, lamb chops, Ribeye and asparagus were the BOMB. The food was so flavorful and cooked to perfection. If you haven’t tried this spot you should! I will definitely be returning.

I had the shrimp po boy and it was exquisite. Large shrimp, lightly dusted and fried to perfection. The remoulade sauce....OMG!!!!
