L L Chinese Seafood - El Cerrito C

It 's too bad there are so many bad reviews from five and six years ago for some place called China House this is clearly not China House. Maybe there was another restaurant there many years ago? Anyway, L L is excellent, great food, great service, delicious made to order dim sum. If you like dim sum, give it a try! The big dim sum places will often make a lot of stuff ahead of time, but this place makes every dish fresh. This means you have to order it and wait a little longer than usual but it 's worth it.

We love this place. My wife and I used to work close by but now we have to drive 40 min on the weekends for lunch and well worth it. Try the salt and pepper squid and the pan fried house noodles. Staff is very friendly and prices are reasonable.

L&l staff are really nice and very professional. Lots of vegetarian/vegan options and will accommodate things like no onion/garlic or low salt. They also do bitter melon dishes and have excellent dim sum. Ignore the low score as the old posts were for the former China House .

Come here for the dimsum! Don't be worried if you don't know the names for them, this place has a handy menu with pictures of the different items. Most of the items are pretty good, although I've certainly gone on days where they were more of a miss than a hit. BUT the egg tarts are always very good.

L&L has become my favorite restaurant at which to celebrate my birthday with a big dim sum party with 10-20 friends. The dim sum is quite delicious, the service is friendly, and the restaurant is run by sweet people whose presence I enjoy.
