100 Montaditos Mutxamel - El Campello

This chain of fast cheep food snacks and drink is in a ideal location on the beach front of El Campello, and generally service is basic but effective, however the general manager of this branch attitude stinks and needs a refresher on customer service. Arrived with a group of friends on a busy Friday afternoon around lunchtime and couldn't believe our luck in getting a single table at the front of the restaurant on the terrace, with a fabulous views of the beach and sea, if you've been to any of these venues nabbing a table in a prime spot is rare as they a always busy. Having spent an enjoyable hour relaxing with friends and ordering another round of drinks soaking up a lovely atmosphere, a man in a short sleeve white shirt and tie appeared out of nowhere and started barking at us in Spanish to move to the back of the terrace as we were not allowed to sit at the front on one table with 6 chair's, apparently something to do with COVID rules from a year and a half ago, but a table of 4 people is acceptable???? When questioned this little man started, rather aggressively, moaning that we were blocking the access for other clients to move past, which was a blantent lie as at no time did we block the road in front of restrict access for people behind us. Having worked in the restaurant trade for a number of years, I was disgusted with his whole attitude and behaviour towards us and even the local Spainish were taken back by the speed of his arrival, mood, aggressiveness and overall general attitude towards his clients. Having lived in Spain for a number of years and knowing what the Spanish are like, it's the first time we have encountered such rudeness and aggressive behaviour from a restaurant manager. Moving on from this experience, nice place, great location, staff generally friendly and helpful, just hope you don't happen to encounter Victor Meldrew nasty twin brother.

For all the wrong reasons...table of 6 of which I was the youngest at 61. Enjoying quiet drink on seafront....next thing the Manager storms across shouting at us in Spanish to use more than 1 table!! Like fools we thought we were doing the right thing for a busy restaurant to free up tables..how wrong were we. When we had finished I went inside to politely tell this Man how extremely rude he had been. He was nowhere to be seen so upon asking a member of staff I was advised that yes they had seen the incident but this is how he is with 90% of customers and also the Staff!!! I cannot believe how this man is a Manager having no customer service skills... terrible terrible experience and this Man does not deserve any custom.... I would recommend both a customer care course and a mental health assessment....there are far friendlier establishments along the promenade..avoid at all costs.... coincidentally previous 2 reviews mention a similar experience.
