Malolam Cantina - El Cajon

My friends and I attended a birthday party on Saturday night at this restaurant. The service from the staff was excellent and the cocktails and dishes we ordered were delicious.

The food at this restaurant is amazing! I really enjoy the combination of Mexican and Asian influences in their dishes. I particularly loved the Carne Asada tacos with a Thai twist and peanut sauce. Both cuisines share the use of cilantro, which added a delicious flavor. The Mexican Fried Rice with chorizo was a tasty side dish. The Chicken Chicarrones were the standout appetizer. I was told it was the best choice when the pig shell was not available. If they had a parking garage, I would definitely come here weekly!

During lunch today (cinco de mayo) and it was not busy at all! We loved the atmosphere. Kinda reminded us of a Mexican restaurant on the beach in Mexico that I went back a few years. That's it! If you're there, don't feel like you're in El Paso. I have the Black Forest Ham Torta with the Mexican Caesar Side Salad. That's it! The salsa they bring to the table is also amazing, made with the house tortilla chips. Overall I had a great experience! The staff was super friendly, and even the manager checked us again and again and made small conversations!

Great place for day drink and nights. Eating is better than average for El Paso bars. Try the fish Tacos or Sea Bass Ceviche if you are not looking for huge calories. The sweetest bartender helps the entire experience.

From the moment I walked in ,I felt good. It’s smelled clean, looked clean. The staff was amazing and extremely knowledgeable. I will definitely be back.
