We decided on Saturday evening spontaneously to visit the Waldschenke Steinbüschel host house. To the ambience: It lies as the name suggests, directly on the edge of the forest and offers a rustic ambience from the outside as from the inside. All in all, I liked the whole flair very much. 5 out of 5 To host: The waiter was extremely accommodating, despite a loose and friendly handling, he does not forget the courtesy and the decency. 5 of 5 For food: I myself ate a spice meat with toast, which was lovingly served. Even with small deck for the bowl. As the main course there was a turkey carving with fresh forest mushrooms and pommes. The Schnitzel was very good and the forest mushrooms were also really fresh forest mushrooms. Very delicious. As a dessert there was a Red Grütze with vanilla sauce served in a desert glass. Also here has tasted very well with eating. Other: Since we have arrived without a pre-registration, it was possible for us to have a table for a time window of 1 hour. However, the host pointed out that a pre-order is necessary on the weekend. Price: The final amount with food and drinks was approx. 85 euros for 5 people, which I find absolutely within the framework. Conclusion: A very nice rustic restaurant with delicious food, normal prices and nice service. I'd like to go back here.

A hint for those who want to enjoy in a beautiful environment hearty mountain cuisine. As the name suggests, the restaurant is located directly in the forest. Inside you will find a cozy place in the guest room and in the winter garden. In beautiful weather there are places outside. Here you sit in the shadow of the big beech, which invites you to stay in summer. Inside and outside everything has been created with great attention to detail. Food and drinks are served by the very nice and fast staff. Also highly recommended as an excursion destination.

We were invited to a family party and sat with 12 people in the cozy cellar. We were undisturbed because there was no room for other guests. Even a toilet was accommodated there. The food was excellent, the service was very friendly. We admired them because they had snow with all drinks and food from the restaurant to the cellar during the icey cold. Thank you.
