Tokyo Express - Edmonton

After more than a year and a half not sushi, this place was a great disappointment. The sushi in the Bentobox were about half the size you would expect and were mishape. The tempura was muddy on the inside and soggy on... the outside were the vegetables cooked, then frozen/baked and then roasted deep? Beef and rice were also contaminated. The staff was friendly, but this is all I can say about our experience there. Note: We did not go to a sushi restaurant to see Chinese food on the menu!

I love all kinds of sushi here, fresh and tasty, especially the sushi tablet that has the larger portions and multipl choices, it is really good and worth buying.

So my wife and had plans to eat here before she went to a concert, she went to pick up and they ran out of sushi rice so they couldn't do anything. RIDICULOUS! It's like McDonald from Fritten. This chain couldn't take care less about sales or customers, especially repeat customers. The next day I called the main office and was told that a manager would call me back my complaint, but of course that didn't happen. Boycott. We will never visit any of these places for far below-average food and service. Too bad TA has nothing under terrible, must be added to places like these.

The last time I landed here is because the location is comfortable and there are many parking spaces. Let me start with the good: location is great. Many parking spaces. You can drive in a stroller without any problems. And there are the good ends.... The negative part of this restaurant: The food tasted as if it was in the refrigerator a few days ago. The Beef terriyaki special. The sushi are just fine, the ones you buy in the food are probably a notch better that theirs. The deep fried things are ok because they are freshly fried, and as we all know, everything fried is good (but bad for you) haha. I would not recommend this place and I even think the other locations, ive was on 170 Street in Edmonton and had almost similar experience. This food chain was quite good once in a time. The quality of their food has unfortunately declined over the years.

Prices are really good Restaurant is clean. Food was okay, not as fresh as I was hoping. Service was quick. I was asked to tip but they didn't offer any extra service not even taking the food out to my table so I didn't understand why I was tipping It's okay for quick Asian food fix, cheaper than most Asian places.
