Reinette Cafe and Patisserie Ltd

Located in the Millwoods area, this small family-run bakery offers a taste of France with its delicious macarons. The cozy space has five to six small tables where you can enjoy sandwiches, soup, coffee, and tea. While the cake decorations could use some improvement, overall it's a nice spot to indulge in some French pastries.

I visited a charming little restaurant and enjoyed a tea, sandwich, macaroons, and their famous key lime tart. Everything was delicious. The restaurant is located in a residential area, and while we were there, some neighborhood kids came in to use the restroom. It was nice that they were allowed to do so, but their comings and goings did slightly disrupt the ambiance of the cozy space. However, other customers also stopped by to purchase pastries to go, so sitting down is not required.

After reading that Reinette won a spot in Avenue Magazine's best restaurants review, my friend bought the apple cheesecake and Lime tart to celebrate my birthday. The desserts were so pretty to look at that we took a moment to savor before diving in.Worth the wait, both tasted sensational! So when a friend came from Calgary, we paid a visit and took three large size pastries to go. Alas, the lime tart had been sold out for hours, so go early! Next time - and there will be a next time - we'll plan to stay awhile and sample the lunch fare and coffee.Kudos to the owner and staff for great service and wonderful treats!

Impressive quaint patisserie with tasty creations. Their tarts are melt in your mouth delicious. Service was fantastic as staff are so friendly. They have a lovely selection of pastries to eat in or take out. The care and attention that goes into packaging your purchases is impressive. They have an impressive selection of cakes that you can preorder for dinner parties. This patisserie is worthy of a visit. They pay attention to details.

Reinette again has surpassed expectations!For under 15$/person Reinette has Afternoon Tea on Friday - Sunday, which has such fabulous deserts as mini-berry macaroons, mini-apple cheese cake, madeleines and financiers! The tea is served with candle-warmers, to keep it warm all afternoon as the desserts are savoured. Delightful music in the background makes it for an overall charming experience.Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful!
