The Jolly Botanist - Edinburgh

First place I tried for lunch after having just arrived in Edinburgh for the first time. Walked in and was told to seat myself and someone will be with me shortly sat down and waited for 10 minutes and nobody even came with a menu, and the place was nearly empty with only 3 4 tables occupied. After waiting and getting no service I got up and left to eat somewhere else.

Most beautiful old fashion I had enough of Gin choices!! Nice bar staff. Want to come back here in the future.

Great cocktails! We all ordered something different and the guy at the bar who made them was amazing. They were all some of the best cocktails I've ever tasted. I forgot to take a picture which is a shame as they looked beautiful. The doorman was also great crack and very sweet to us. I absolutely love the vibes of this place and if I lived here it would be my favourite hangout.

Our server Freya was fabulous. Gin drinks she suggested after a few questions of our preferences were spot on, and delicious. Tapas were superb, not a spot left on the plates after we were done. Atmosphere was lovely and with the garage doors open it was the perfect temperature inside. Drinks menu was extensive. Perfect evening had by all.

Lovely decor and atmosphere. Great selection of gins and cocktails. Really friendly staff.
