Bidra med feedbackThe mood in this restaurant is great, the music is pleasant and soothing and the escaping itself is beautiful! the menu has a lot of options for vegetarian, and I enjoyed the nice yakisoba a lot. as with desserts, both the mango cheesecake and the black sesame panna cotta were delicious! the service was friendly and the prices are affordable. I recommend this for a cold night in edinburgh.
This is an outstanding version of Hakataya located in the city! Their ramen and gyoza are fantastic, just like always. We will definitely return! I do have one comment regarding the service, as I've noticed a few people mentioning issues with being attended to. The service follows traditional Japanese style, which means that diners typically call the server when they need something—either by using the button at their table or by raising their hand. They allow you to enjoy your meal at a relaxed pace. I understand this may differ from what you’re accustomed to, but it’s quite enjoyable.
The ramen here is incredible—likely the best in Edinburgh. The service can be inconsistent at times, but one of the waitresses is exceptionally beautiful; I wish I had remembered her name. The atmosphere during dinner is much better, enhanced by the lovely orange lighting. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it.
This restaurant offers delicious Japanese cuisine at an affordable price, making it the perfect spot for budget travelers seeking a fantastic meal. Although there can be a bit of a wait to be served, it's definitely worth it—especially the takoyaki, which I found to be delightful. If I return to Edinburgh, I will certainly come back to explore more options from their menu!
