Purslane - Edinburgh

Absolutely fantastic meal with my family today! Service is outstanding and attention to detail is wonderful with a cozy atmosphere. The food is exceptional… every course was better than the last… the guinea foul was melt in the mouth tender.. cant rate it enough ! we had such a great day well looked after and can’t wait to get back. A must if you’re in Edinburgh.

Lucky to have visited Purslane over a number of years. It's never disappointed. Great food with wonderful flavours spread over a very consistent tasting menu. From fish to meat to vegetarian no dish has failed. Desserts are just a bonus. Cosy restaurant with friendly staff. It's another restaurant in Edinburgh that we're lucky to have. Seems to fly under the radar but it means we can get a table

We have gone for 7 courses tasting menu. The dishes are very unique (cooking technique but not the ingredient), I do find something is kind of missing in our dining experience. Perhaps for a fine dining and the price, we expected more. I find the portion is a bit too small. There were quite a lot of house flies around during our dining experience so overall I would say it is a 3.5 star experience. The service is very good.

Had the most wonderful culinary experience here! My friend and I had the five course tasting menu with matching wines that were simply amazing! The food was to die and the wines were very specially selected to supplement each dish. The restaurant itself is small, cute and cozy and a super relaxed environment for you to enjoy yourself! The service was also amazing! Quick and friendly - we were even recommended to go local bars and where to enjoy a scenic view of the sunset over the city! I love it

Fantastic independent restaurant in Stockbridge serves modern British cuisine at a very high level. The ambience was warm and service very professional with food at Michelin level without price tag. Very recommended
