Bidra med feedbackI had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The "toasted teacake" I ordered was cold and stale, so I asked for it to be properly toasted. After waiting 10 minutes, it came back slightly warm but still pale. The service was poor and the place was not very clean.
Unfortunately, this restaurant is no longer in operation. It did not reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic, and the owners seem to have neglected to take down the website. The only other venue they have is located on Rose Street. I recommend avoiding the afternoon tea, as it is quite disappointing.
My partner and I visited the Valerie patisserie in Edinburgh for the first time. I had been gifted 5h3 afternoon tea for two for my birthday and as we were in Edinburgh, we thought why not? I my opinion, great value for money. I have a big appetite and I couldn't finish everything off as I usually do. We both left full to the brim. I would definitely visit Valerie patisserie again for the afternoon tea for two. The staff were very friendly and efficient. We did not need to book, we turned up and they accommodated us.
Today, we traveled 50 miles to Edinbourgh Rose Street to use our expiring groupon voucher for an all-day brunch. However, upon arriving, we were disappointed to learn that the restaurant was not serving the brunch due to the absence of the chef. Despite our request for an alternative, we were denied and received poor service. We do not plan on returning.
