Papillon - Edinburgh

Great top, really good atmosphere and the staff were great. menu was a little on the short side, but we ate there twice and both meals were nice.

Was in edinburgh on holiday with my other half and booked here as it would only be half an hour trip from mine. when entering they are greeted with a beautiful looking pub atmosphere and efficiently led to the table. a crooked water was placed on the table I thought this was a nice note that was just half an hour to foot papillon and our drinks were ordered and shortly after eating. eating was nice and good portion sizes the mushroom sauce I had with my bun and linguine was amazing, I highly recommend. the inexpensive for what we ordered was not much spent in this night. the only reasons why I didn't have this place 5 stars was 1 the menu was too easy not much choice and 2 there were quite many drinks out, but I would never allow this to come back from!

Nice bar and family-friendly, eating was moderate, had the buttermilk burger, needed more season and no on tables provided. good coffee, but not for non-tagebuch alternatives that is a canvas, as a good coffee menu is available, we were surprised that they do not offer, mandel milk, thin milk etc. not too busy with the rugby and beautifully decorated to watch sport. service was a little slow and although whisky options, not listed ok the menu and wait staff didn't realize what was available. beautiful place though and would go back

Good meal, good service, good beer and wine, all at a good price!

5 of us went for an early dinner using a ITISON voucher for 2 courses for 4 people plus a cocktail each for part payment and very much enjoyed. Craig helpfully phoned at lunchtime to warn us there was a group of 30 people booked in for the same time as us and maybe we would want to arrive half an hour earlier or later, we chose the latter which worked out very well as we had no waiting time to order when we arrived and received very good service. The food was pretty eclectic and enjoyable, atmosphere was informal and relaxed, a good evening and good value overall
