Bidra med feedbackWe had a faultless lunch in fhior. the restaurant is simple but beautifully decorated; the scurry is charming and tactile; the service was polished, thrilled and incredibly polite and eating delicious, beautifully presented and complex enough for me to know that I could never come close to replicate it home. we look forward to returning as soo as we are in edinburgh.
I would have given it 6 stars if I could. Fabulous food and impeccable service! All 10 courses were excellent. Chef really understands how to put flavors together. Bravo!
The food was absolutely incredible… I wouldn’t be surprised if they are seeing a Michelin star soon. The staff were great and attentive. If I had to pick one thing that is completely a personal preference is the pace of the food. There were quite long distances between the dishes meaning that the tasting menu took quite a while. Now some people may enjoy the long pauses however now knowing this I would probably advise an earlier reservation. Thank you for a great evening!
Really good food in a relaxed atmosphere. We had the 7 course menu with paired wines, with one of us being pescatarian (restaurant will cater for dietary requests if notified in advance). Some great flavours, even with ingredients I would not necessarily choose (variations on beetroot and celeriac), but that is a benefit of the tasting menu approach. Staff were friendly, and removal of masks in the future will probably assist in explaining the dishes! Definitely recommended.
Dining at this restaurant is truly sublime. I opted for the 10-course menu, and it was absolutely worth it. Each dish was intriguing, leaving you wanting just a little bit more. Every course was perfectly balanced, with standout highlights including the squid, leeks, celeriac, cod, and lamb dishes. The smoked egg yolk was divine; I only wish I knew how to recreate it. The service was good, as expected, and the dining room has a delightful atmosphere. I'm particularly fond of some of the quirky artworks on display. My only suggestion for improvement would be to shorten the time between courses; the 10-course meal can feel quite lengthy.
