De Novo Edgewater

We had a reservation for dinner at this restaurant in Edgewater. The reservation was for an outside seating. However when we got there, it was drizzling and we decided that we wanted an inside seat. When informing the maitre'd, he, for some reason, was abrupt and started mumbiing about how difficult it would be to change the seating (the restaurant was at least half empty. He was just unhappy about changing the seating for us. The outside was empty due to the weather. Soon we sat inside and my friend and I were disappointed with the food. I had a bronsino (fish) and it was totally tasteless (no condiments) and the eggplant tasted as if they had used a jar of sauce, not fresh. The best part was the waitress, who was a doll and very pleasant! I will not revisit this restaurant in Edgewater, NJ.
