Bidra med feedbackWe went into this tiny fucking hole and weren't recognized by the young woman behind the bar where you order, even though the only people were in there. We had to tell her we wanted to make an order... She looked at us in Ekel and said, "What do you want?" When we told her they were from one of the four tacos we ordered, they wouldn't put sauces on the side, but said we could buy and mix the ingredients separately as we want. I ordered a margarita with salt. They did the swamp then said they had no salt. What? “I hate my work...and people” Purchaser asked a few people, then someone who looked like he was responsible came up and scolded them for not working the computerized menu screen right (an error message was displayed in a dialog box some of the menu points), told her that there is no salt, then produced a box of Morton’s and asked if I wanted it. I just took the swamp as he... I didn't want to say it any more because I was obviously a troubler. There was no place to sit. When the food came, there were no napkins or utensils. We had to go in and help with the role of the towels they had put on the bar. The mushroom taco burned our eyebrows... no warning that it was sharp. The cauliflower taco was loaded with curry... also spicy....again, no warning. Auberginen taco was advertised and the favorite. Other customers were overheard of complaining about the buyer. No EAT!
Ok the place is a charming hole in the wall, with a menu that looks creative and interesting and veg friendly. So general questions first. They have a limited menu but were made of several elements, including Falafel and Yucca Fries. We ordered five tacos, the vegan nachos and an order of chips with one side of pico de gallo, two margaritas and one sprite. Got the margaritas right away, but for some reason not the sprite. “We bring it to you.” We sat outside to wait. After 30 minutes a single eggplant taco came. After 10 minutes we finally got the remaining tacos. I inquired about the rest of our order. “It comes” replied the server tartly. After a total waiting only shy of an hour, the nachos and chips came. No chance to inquire about the sprite, servers just stick around to inform us “sorry, we are from Jalapeños.” Had to go back to get the fuel after asking two different people about it, someone finally managed to give us a can. As for food, the tacos were good. The vegan nachos were a bunch of chips with some chopped tomatoes, some salsa verde, and squeezes from a “cash cheese”, which seemed only hummus made from cashews instead of chickpeas. They wouldn't have helped as well as the Jalapeños were missing. The nachos were disgusting. I don't know why they took so long. The chips and pico (but we never have the pico so only the chips). Every Taco place I've ever done, a sequence of chips is only the — chips. These were “house chips” which were essentially the same as the nachos, except that they had several pieces of sugar sauce and a bunch of milk cheese. Well, since it does not happen to everyone in our party is vegan, so they were eaten (although not enjoyed on them thanks to the strange sweet sauce) ... but all of us were shocked that a menu item clearly expected enough, not even a question of being non vegan came covered in cheese. A kind of hint that what the menu simply called “chips” was something different than what it would have been appropriate in any other Taqueria. I really wish this place was what he saw in the front. I wanted to love it as a hidden jewel. The potential is there. But reality is very far from this potential. Updated by previous rating on 2021-07-11 Updated by previous rating on 2021-07-12
Decent tacos, would recommend updating with Guac, pico de gallo, hot sauce and cashew cheese for $2.50. Auberginen was our Fave option. You also have a location within a bar in downtown Oak Bluffs.
Vegan friendly, amazing tacos! Test the cauliflower, mushroom, falafel and aubergine tacos. Guacamole super and sauces. Homemade bowls, fresh, great hole in the wall atmosphere.
This place is a tiny hole-in-the-wall, but has delicious vegan options. Their vegan nachos are with real cashew cheese (no daiya here! . Well worth the stop for a quick taco and nachos on the backyard patio.
