Leon Nixon Catering - Edenton

Was in town on vacation and had experienced Leon Nixon catering back home for some events. Really wanted to try it at their home. Only open for buffet lunch on Thursday and Sunday. We went on Thursday. The food was excellent, they had BBQ, fried chicken, baked chicken, ribs, and fried fish for proteins. For sides, they had salad, mashed potatoes, gravy, yams, etc. The yams were the star of the day...just incredible. For dessert, they had assorted cakes and pies. The atmosphere is odd, but the food was really good and plentiful. Really nice people working there and the other patrons were welcoming as well. Clearly this is a local favorite and we were not locals...they made us feel right at home. Don't miss this if you are in town!

The food was cold at 11:28. I thought the buffet started at 11. At least the cake was wrapped this time. Usually its great but this was not my best time there.

Good place to have your car worked on awesome service

Had a meeting at Nixons and the BBQ, chicken and shrimp was geat.

I go on Sundays 11am for takeout. The lady at the register is very friendly. There is an inconsistency with the food. Sometimes its seasoned so good I want to go back to get a plate. Today it was lacking seasoning and the baked chicken breast was dry. It's still a great place to eat and it's buffett for $20. Next week it will probably be better.
