Bidra med feedbackI can only assume that there may have been some issues in the past at 21, but our lunch experience today was quite enjoyable. On a rainy and gloomy day, this warm and bright restaurant was just what we needed. We opted for the soup and coffee, and were pleased with our choices. The tomato soup was delicious, served with tasty bread, and the coffee was good too. Though not the most inexpensive option, the quality of the food was worth it. The restaurant was clean and the young lady who served us was very friendly. We would be happy to come back anytime.
I was truly disappointed to witness a customer being verbally attacked by a staff member while waiting in line at this restaurant. The atmosphere was chaotic, with one employee both taking orders and serving drinks, causing a long wait time for customers. Additionally, I observed multiple instances of staff members being hostile towards customers, including a man with a young family who were denied service. The tables were also dirty, and I had to clean my own before sitting down. It's unfortunate that the current staffing shortages due to covid are impacting service quality, but it's unacceptable for customers to be treated in such a disrespectful manner. I will not be returning to this restaurant.
The service at this restaurant is extremely poor. The staff is rude and seems ill-suited for the catering industry. The queueing system is chaotic, with customers talking and causing disruptions. One staff member even got into an argument with a customer. It's clear that she should consider a new career. It's a shame because the venue is nice, but it desperately needs to be cleaned.
Bold and unapologetically awful customer service coupled with a ridiculously rude and argumentative owner and staff member made for a most unpleasant visit. See the other 23 'terrible ' rated reviews for evidence that mine is not an isolated terrible experience. That said, if you actually enjoy being heckled or shouted at by hysterical baristas, then this could be the place for you. Cue the inevitable customer-blaming reply, accusation of not having been a customer, or somesuch other nonsense from a business owner who simply does not care how they treat their customers.. here it is:
We wouldn 't have come here if we had read the reviews first. Staff were rude for absolutely no reason. Expected everyone to know how they ran the cafe without any explanation. Told off for using the wrong exit, but the 'right ' one was locked so that makes it difficult to use. Very disappointing. Would advise taking a packed lunch or pick a different eatery if visiting nearby.
