Very friendly and fast service, varied weekly changing menu with regional and seasonal dishes. Ideal also for larger groups. Magnificent beer garden in the beautiful courtyard. Full score.
Random led me to this hotel and, it must be said, that he did well. When you don't expect anything, finding yourself in a village with so much history and charm and in a home with so much style is a moment of happiness. Come on, I'll list strengths and weaknesses. When you swing between the two, the 4 stars can surprise but I grant them for the extreme friendly, non-fairing, staff. Every remark is taken seriously, never one has given us the impression of bothering... Such a welcome brings the few weaknesses to the second level. I also liked the style of the reception desk. There as in the dining room, we managed to keep the originality of the building. Also very nice was the 'Biergarten'. Well, what's less well, it's a steak where we've taken care to insist on the well-sighted, even blue, side of the meat 'englisch' in German, but that's barely 'swept'. The hyper-salted side is a scary trend that you often meet, especially as soon as you ask for a steak with sauce, here green pepper sauce. In the room the TV is laughing but it's not to watch the TV that we came, so not too bad. Whether the fridge does not work is more awkward, either to consume the content, or to store your own business at the expense. The pillow wasn't really top, but maybe I'm tough. Apart from that, the room was spacious and clean. Same for the bathroom. The breakfast buffet in the nicely vaulted restaurant was a bit tristounet. Super sweet juices and cocoa based on water did not manage to raffle the atmosphere a bit.
I have known the Historik Hotel Klosterbräu in Ebrach for about 25 years. Even with my parents I was there often at dinner and I liked to recommend it for guests. However, what happened last Sunday in the open beer garden, I have not experienced until then. The operation was extremely annoyed and extremely unfriendly when she accompanied me and chased me from a table: “The table is occupied, you must have been faster” also noticed in a volume the other guests. She referred to us to another table where a note was “clean”. We could not imagine what the operation means clean, because the table was anything but clean. With the same unfriendliness as before at the other table, she took us quite aggressively and cursed us again. We left. We would have liked to talk to someone about the hotel, but at the reception there was a dog looking over the counter. I don't think I'm going to enter this house again in the next time. The kitchen is always a pleasure but the operation is a disaster. Unfortunately, I can't recommend the hotel anymore. A very sad development.
