Antica Macelleria - EBOLI

The people here are so nice and the food they make is delicious. I love the soft sweet prosciutto and the delicious goat cheeses. But momma and papa with the Son, Antonio. And daughter AnnaChiara make you feel like family. The meats and cheeses are fresh and very delicious. We always take some cheese home in sealed bags. The cured meats are the best we have had in Italy and NewYork. Well be back!

We loved this little shop with all it's special delicacies. They have a vast assortment of meats and cheeses as well as dry goods, bread and pasta. The owners area lovely family that really make you feel welcomed and like family. We made some great sandwiches and are still savoring cheeses we brought home with us.

This is a very nice Macelleria (Butcher Shop) , cheese and provisions shop in the Paestum area. I was there with a friend in 2010 and the butcher's son, Antonio told me his father made the finest prociutto in Italy, we bought a half kilo and I believe he was correct. The sweetest most succulent and tender prociutto, only an angel's lips could be softer. The Macelleria is near Paestum and Vanulo, they also carry local cheeses-pecorino for cutting and for grating that is very very delicious. This year I took my nephews and we really enjoyed our visit. The butcher and his family work in the shop and they were delightful, lovely people. I encourage anyone to visit the Antica Macelleria to really experience the warmth of the Southern Italian people and to get some very delicious provisions for a mid-day snack or picnic.
