Great Hall - Eastbourne

Afternoon tea is a must here. We also had more substantial food which was also excellent. Service a little slow some days.

Did not pre book so had to have our afternoon tea in the Lounge but the service was still excellent as was the food. A very enjoyable way to spend a rainy day......

Waiting 20 minutes for a waiter, then a further 20 minutes for a sandwich and fries, when there are only 6 people in the place. Also, drinks were served with the food, so we sat there with no drinks for 40 minutes. 5 star price, 1 star service.

You can enjoy afternoon tea in the Great Hall. It is a bit small, so I felt a bit crowded. The price for tea is £26 per person. There weren't many sandwiches, but it was overall a pleasant experience.

The hall is spectacular, and the afternoon tea is excellent. We have tried many afternoon teas, both in our local area and in London, and this is definitely one of the best we've had. The sandwiches were fresh, the scones were warm with plenty of jam, cream, and butter, and the pastries were delicious. We would definitely recommend it and will certainly be going back again.
