We'd been here before, and were in the area on Sunday Nov 22nd so stopped to see if they were doing takeaway food. Not very busy due to lockdown, but absolutely no problem with getting roast dinners for four people, plus drinks including one takeaway pint of real ale. We waited outside and they brought it out when ready. All very nice food at a reasonable price, and it's good to be able to support places like this. It's only a pity we couldn't sit out in the garden at the back due to lockdown we'll have to come back sometime.

Jake and Kirsty are not just hosts, but a couple who go above and beyond. When I called to see if they could assist with my mother's funeral wake, they showed such care and support, making a difficult day the best it could be. The venue was beautiful, with a lovely room and garden. Kirsty prepared a wonderful buffet with something for everyone. The attention to detail was exceptional, from the background music chosen from a list of artists provided to lighting a candle placed next to a picture of my mum as a touching tribute. I have returned for an anniversary meal since and once again, the food was fantastic and the hosts were amazing. I highly recommend this restaurant.

I completely agree with the previous review! I want to thank Jake and Kirsty for offering the perfect location for our son and daughter-in-law's wedding reception. They not only served delicious food, but also took great care of us, allowing us to decorate the room the day before and even taking photos for us on the day of the reception. I highly recommend this lovely pub to any couples who are unsure about planning a wedding reception in the current situation. You can have a small, but intimate sit-down reception here. Don't hesitate, go for it!
