Bidra med feedbackI have to say, this place has the best fish and chips in the country. The staff was excellent and polite.
We are always on the lookout for the best fish and chips whenever we visit the coast. After reading some reviews, we decided to try Ward's Fish Bar on Friday. All the fish are cooked to order when they arrive, like most places in the city and surrounding villages. However, that's where the similarities end. We were surprised by the prices in the chip section, and while the chips were decent, the fish was disappointing. It was bland and not the flaky white fish we were expecting. My partner mentioned that there may have been delivery issues, which could explain the subpar quality of the fish. Perhaps they tried a different type of fish than their usual, but with the North Sea right there, it's hard to understand how it could have been so bad.
My most recent visit to the restaurant was not as enjoyable as my previous experience. The portion of chips I ordered was surprisingly small, and the curry sauce tasted watery. The fish was also cut in a way that was not very satisfying. Overall, I left feeling disappointed with my meal.
Stopped to pick up two cables and chips. single and out climbed over various doors chips were well cooked and delicious with a strong vinegar, the fish was good and white with a good crunchy thin teig and many scraps. the girls behind. theke were very polite and knew that there job recommended and the location directly at the harbour, it would be an excellent place to sit and eat her meal when they wish
Fancied fish&chips on the harbour wall so tried Wards for the first time. The cod and chips were absolutely delicious and the service was very professional. This will be our go to chippy for future visits to Brid.
