Bidra med feedbackWe stopped by on my husband's birthday weekend after doing some shopping in the area. We were looking for a quick, tasty, and filling meal before heading back home. The owner gave us a very friendly welcome. We ordered a BLT and a brunch, both of which were delicious and freshly cooked. It was a great find. The owner was also very chatty and made us feel like old friends.
This is my fourth year visiting this cafe, but Barry the owner really needs to clean up his act. He should wash up and stop smoking out front. His hands are always dirty, making the cafe feel gross. However, the food is amazing and the prices are reasonable. It's time for Barry to step up his game. Despite the shortcomings, I still love coming to this cafe in Cambridge.
Before we headed home, we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at a great price. The bacon was especially fantastic.
First cafe I came to after getting out of the train, so I dived in for breakfast. Cheese-and-tomato omelette and tea. Just the job. Owner was a fun guy with grey hair in a ponytail, gold earrings and necklace, and friendly banter. He said to pay afterwards, as a runner wouldn't stand a chance against him! Omelette looked a bit of a mess but was excellent. Mug of tea decent too. Things that can't be taken for granted. Cost me only about £5.00, so this cafe is excellent value! It's way back from the seafront, so maybe that's why it felt friendly and the exact opposite of a tourist rip-off joint.
