Bidra med feedbackFour of us had a delightful Sunday lunch at this restaurant. Three of us ordered the roast, which we were advised to book in advance. One had the chicken, one had the lamb, and one had the vegetarian option. All of the dishes were well prepared and delicious. Another member of our party ordered the fish and chips from the regular menu, which was a nice portion size and not overwhelming. For dessert, we enjoyed a treacle tart and a choux pastry, both of which were delicious, although the tart's pastry was slightly overcooked. The service was good and the atmosphere was relaxed. The addition of sofas in one corner has added to the cozy feel of the place, making it a great spot for drinks or a meal.
This restaurant has recently been renovated with new owners, and I was informed that the menu is constantly changing. We were told that they have only been reopened for three weeks. The menu is outstanding, and we were informed that all ingredients are sourced locally and made in-house. I highly recommend this place.
Wonderful food! Friendly staff and pooch friendly, seriously best roast and sticky toffee pudding for 100 miles
We went here for sunday lunch. There were 6 of us in all. We waited over 20 minutes for them to take our order even though we kept asking. Finally, our lunch arrived but we did have to wait an hour and a half for it. When it arrived, the vegetables were solid and uncooked. The meat looked like it had been broiled and the potatoes were hard in the middle. In all it was terrible and no one seemed to care. I would not go here again and would certainly not recommend it to anyone else. There are many other places to eat so steer clear of their lunch.
Met family half way for lunch on Saturday. No problem with kids, plenty room for pushchair, choice of tables. BUT Service painfully slow Very limited menu Lot of desserts sold out PLUS POINTS Friendly Staff, No attempt to hurry us (just as well) Leisurely lunch suited us
