Ethos Deli Dining Room - EAST FREMANTLE

Visited this cafe the other day and thought the food and coffee were very good Located in the famous George Street cafe precinct it’s really worth a visit I loved the fact the the food eg small goods or meat products were manufactured on site or locally and they are excellent The coffee was very good so too the atmosphere of the place The young lady serving was very good and had excellent customer service skills This place must be visited it’s really worth a visit Price wise is great value Well done people Trev

Food 2.5/5 Service 1/5 Having wanting to try out this place for awhile and had high hopes, oh how disappointing it was. The restaurant need to make up their minds if they are table service or not. We were seated, given water and then ignored. Went up to counter to order (which is fine but please don’t say table service if you’re not going to provide good service), made our order and was repeated back to us, no issues. Sandwiches came 30 mins after we had arrived, smoked white fish bagel was good but not toasted as ordered, conti roll was toasted which had requested it not be and probably one of the worst we’ve had in Perth. Edges of the meat very hard and chewy, not nice. They did offer to replace them which was fair enough but we weren’t waiting another 30 minutes for 2 sandwiches. Unfortunately wouldn’t be returning, there is a high standard of cafes and delis in the area and this one is way off the mark.

Can’t complain about the quality of the food but will do about the serving sizes . Pastrami Sandwich (delicious) but 3 micro thin slices of pickle on the side? That’s taking the Mickey. You order food like this that encompasses this not a token. Also pictures show a small portion of kettle crisps. Again nothing. Potato Latkes, delicious. But $8.50 extra for a tablespoon of sour cream and half a dozen trout roe eggs is excessive to say the least. Could be a winner here but needs to step up.

Nice ambiences, friendly staff but food was very disappointing. It’s like picture and expectation vs reality.
