Oregano 2 Hilton Road Bishbriggs Glasgow

Upon my arrival at the restaurant, it was quiet as I made my way to my table. The food was fantastic. I began with the prawn and crayfish salad, which was very refreshing and served in generous portions. For the main course, I enjoyed the perfectly cooked seabass on a warm plate, accompanied by well-matched vegetables. I ended my meal with the highland sundae. The wine was served chilled, and the staff were efficient without constantly asking if everything was okay. I will definitely return to this restaurant and highly recommend giving it a try.

We tried Oregano again as despite poor service on a past visit (they'd lost our order and left us sitting for about 45 mins without letting us know, although to be fair they then didn't charge us) the food is good. We were shown to our seats but then nothing. Another table that arrived after us had there orders taken, we were ignored. I had to go and find staff and ask if we could order. When food arrived, was very good. For pudding, the Scottish Sundae with tablet, shortbread and a full snowball was fantastic! We were going out after so didn't take a chance and went to find a till to pay once we finished!

My dad booked for the 7 of us to go for a family Easter Sunday lunch. He was a bit concerned it would be full of noisy kids and service would be slow. However he neednt have worried. Our ages ranged from 11-76 but the menu, although quite limited, had something for everyone. The roast beef and the easter sundaes were the highlights. It was really busy but our food was served promptly and was very tasty. The staff were really welcoming and had a very friendly manner, even though they must have been rushed off their feet. Our 2 boys (at 11 and 14) were still given the kids treat i.e. easter egg, on leaving which we really werent expecting as they are taller than their parents and eat more, but it was a nice touch. Would definitely recommend as a family venue to suit all ages.

Booked this for my grandaughters 18th, what a fantastic night was had by all , food was great service second to non staff was so efficient, have 2 grandchildren who is quite fussy and both ate every morsel so would just like to say a big thank you to everyone concerned and would highly recommend the Oregano/ eagle lodge to you all

It was the glass house on cold night and it certainly felt like that. Not a good start to the birthday meal. Childs high chair was anything but clean , thank goodness we had wipes , it was taken away and cleaned. Menu , we were planning on having steak which is on the Market Menu Online but was not available in the restaurant. Service wasn't great either and food was very average, didn't stay for coffee or desert as we were chilled.Had hoped for a better dining experience after bringing family along but it wasn't. Won't be rushing back.
