Bidra med feedbackWe had dinner at this restaurant twice during our four days in Branscombe. The menu is limited, but the food is delicious and reasonably priced. The pub has a simple atmosphere with good local beers, friendly staff, and a nice ambiance. Due to limited opening hours, it is recommended to call and make reservations in advance.
I dined at this restaurant while staying at the Branscombe campsite. It is a nice and friendly pub. We had made a reservation before going on holiday and were seated outside, which was okay, although we wished we had been informed beforehand so we could have dressed warmer due to the cool evening temperatures. My husband ordered the steak and chips and he really enjoyed it. I opted for the fish and scallop dish, which was tasty but the portion size was small and there was a lack of vegetables - only a small amount of garlic mash and four overcooked green beans. For what was served, I didn't feel that the £21 I paid was worth it.
After a challenging journey along narrow and winding roads, we finally reached the pub/restaurant located between two roads. The sign was hidden from one side, but visible from the other. They had a great variety of local beers and cider available. We enjoyed a delicious and generous meal there.
My wife and I had a wonderful dinner here. Great, high quality food at a lovely traditional pub, which is run by very friendly and welcoming people.
Disappointed to arrive to find pub closed until Wednesday Evening. Having walked from beer over to branscombe having previously checked in advance on website and Facebook pages as myself and my partner follow many local Facebook pages for beer and branscombe. To not have any...
