Bidra med feedbackYesterday I found this place, what a joy. had not tee in the load, but bought some to take home what was wonderful. the staff was helpful and friendly and my new Japanese tea brewer is simply fantastic. I also recommend the ingwer and chocolate brownies total scrummy. I'm going back, but next time I'm gonna make sure I'm holding myself so I can stay one.
We usually come from Cutlacks next door for coffee or tea, but I think the avocado on sourdough makes for a great lunch here. The restaurant has a diverse and intriguing menu that is hard to come by in Ely.
This restaurant is stunning! They even welcomed our labradoodle with fresh water and treats. The food was delicious and the staff was incredibly friendly. Thank you! We will definitely be coming back again.
I had a really good lunch at Samovar on Wednesday during the installation of my new art exhibition. The staff was friendly and there was a stunning variety of teas. I would definitely recommend it as I got a much-needed energy boost. Thank you, Oliver.
This is one of those rare, quintessentially English, establishments, where the joys of drinking various types of tea can be explored to the full. The decor is unpretentious. Our table was a sewing machine in a previous life, and still had the treadle, in cast iron underneath. A great touch. The tea is served in individual pots and there is a vast range to choose from. The menu gives helpful descriptions as to the various flavourings and the staff are knowledgable enough to be able to advise if you're not sure. The food on offer is snacky, freshly made sandwiches, bagels and toasties mainly. There's some excellent black and white photos on the wall. Whenever we go to Ely, this is always the place we gravitate to!
