Bidra med feedbackDelicious! I visit NC once a year or so and I love to eat. That being said, this place has a quality menu that is skillfully prepared. Had the lamb burger which i was able to substitute roasted Brussels instead of fries. I sat at the bar as per usual and the bartenders were friendly and ready to talk about the food, drinks, or whatever. I highly recommend making a stop here!
An almost perfect culinary experience. we got a quiet table on the way under beautiful, high, old trees and felt that we had the place for ourselves, although it was busy relatiw. would never have known we were nested in an office park. I would take the menu southern fusion with wonderful creative takes classic dishes. we got the special small plate, brat pork with gochujang aubergine and marinated mushrooms - I love being thrilled by a surprising dish with perfectly balanced aromen - that I hope it makes to their regular menu. the grilled brussel sprouts were tender with fantastic, flaky, carburized outside. they were not drowned in the sauce and the light red chili aoli gave the correct amount of subtle accents without masking the taste of the sweet. I love lamb and wad between the order of the burger and the pizza, but went with the pizza because it is easier to share. we were not disappointed. we have three of their cocktails. I have two whisky-based drinks and my daughter got the wodka berry, and I am glad to report that the bartender is every bit the artist as chef. we have rounded the meal with the pot de crème, an intense chocolate mousse that have the right amount of sweet. we made us feel comfortable without being stuffed. highly recommended!
Steamed Mussels with a White Wine-Butter Garlic Sauce with Tomato Crostini was good. The mussels were cooked just right. I will like to have more white wine added to give it a bit of zing. The sour dough crostini were charred; the pieces that weren’t charred paired well with the white wine and tomatoes broth. Seared wahoo over Crispy Chili Garlic Potatoes, topped with Capers, Marinated Tomatoes, Crab Béchamel were delicious, highly recommend this dish. Wahoo was perfectly seasoned and seared. The crab bechamel was savory with umami. The capers added a nice contrast and kick. Pura vida Lamb cheeseburger with mixed green. I love the Smoked Gouda, Cucumber, Tomato, Kalamata Olives, Arugula, Harissa, and Tzatziki; all the ingredients complimented each other and made the cheeseburger not so heavy to eat. I also like the vinaigrette on the mixed green. Orange almond cake was yummy in flavor, the sweet of the cake and the cream, the orange glaze was wonderful. I wasn’t a fan of the texture of the almond pieces. I prefer the whole thing to be cake like texture. Overall, great food and great service. I definitely recommend this place.
Pretty cool atmosphere. I tend to sit at the bars and eat/drink. The bartender was amazing. Always checking in to see if we needed anything. He also made good food suggestions. Went with the oysters which was a special and were amazing. I also went with a special for the main course. Half a chicken with peach BBQ sauce and rice. Was not disappointed. Def going to be back for that lamb burger.
Found this little gem yesterday, when we were looking for a place to have dinner while in Durham for a quick trip. I'm so glad we decided to eat here! The food was so good, fresh and just looks good on the plate. I have never had a black bean burger, but the one I ordered was awesome! The sweet tea was delicious! I don't know who our server was but we was nice and very attentive. We will be coming back again and again. I definitely want to try an alcoholic beverage and dessert next time :
