Econo Lodge Inn Suites - Durango

This is a very nice, average motel. Nothing fancy, no frills just a decent place to sleep. Rooms were spacious with a mini fridge and everything worked as it should, but you could tell they were older and could use a few updates. However, everything seemed clean and as stated, functioned properly. A breakfast is provided, a simple one enough to get you on your way again. A hot tub jacuzzi of some sort was available, but during my travels it was almost always occupied. The staff was friendly and helpful even freely providing old rags to wipe down our motorcycles after hitting some rain. I'd recommend this place and would stay here again in my travels.

We took a chance on the Econo Lodge after switching from a different motel following a bad experience. This was a pleasant stay! Even though we booked very late in the game, the front desk attendant was very kind and accommodating. We had a room less than 15 minutes after leaving the other motel. The rooms were clean and safe. This is an older property, but well-maintained and reasonably priced. Stay here.Safety: Felt very safe here.Walkability: Walkable to nearby restaurants and grocery stores. Cheapest gas in Durango is next door. ?

Stayed here for two nights either side of riding the Durango and Silverton Railroad and overnighting in Silverton. Obviously we didn't get the refurbished rooms either night we stayed. Both were pretty dingy, dark and very dated. The second room (115) must have had a faulty thermostat because the A/C stayed on all night long but didn't do anything just made a noise. The TV speaker was blown so impossible to watch or listen to anything. All I can say is it is convenient for the railroad and downtown and relatively low cost compared to others in the area but would not go back.

The rooms are clean. Our bed was a bit hard, which made a restful night a struggle for us. The gentleman that I checked with was friendly. Overall, a good place to stay for us just passing through. It is just an older inn that has had a few cosmetic updates, but clean is always good ?.Rooms: 4/5

The rooms were clean, and the hot tub was nice.Free breakfast was advertised but was limited to a waffle maker, hot/cold cereal, and muffins/yogurt. No eggs, and no meats, so we were disappointed.Rooms: 4/5
