Sengthong's Blue Sky Room - DUNSMUIR

Sengthong's restaurant. Living in Dunsmuir, I had many ways to eat in Sengthongs. Food is always consistently good when something expensive. Sengthong always uses fresh ingredients, and the dishes are very delicious. The kitchen differs from most other Thai restaurants, as it is a northern Thai Laotian mixture. Also try is Sengthongs Blue Sky Room, a few doors down from the restaurant. The Blue Sky Room is a great music room and has a wonderful bar and a lighter version of the restaurant menu.

One of my favorite restaurants. We make sure we eat here at least once on holiday in Dunsmuir. The Vietnamese Fish Stew is phenomenal, it was perfectly seasoned! I recommend this restaurant. There is a wait for your food as every dinner is made by Sengthong, but the food is worth it.

The best place to eat in Siskiyou County. For over 20 years come and never disappointed. Plan to relax and take your time, Sengthongs cooks everything from scratch and the flavors are amazing. Favourites are hot seasoned shrimps and beef curry. I want chocolate cake to die.

My friends and I stopped at 7:45 in the evening. The owner was friendly enough to host us and made us feel comfortable. We continued to have some amazing Thai food, the ginger chicken and stir fried vegetables with noodles. Special mention of Tofu towns with vegetables. Definitely a must to visit when you are in the area and look for a great meal.

The wonderful Sengthong's Thai/South East Asian Restaurant was a few doors down from this Blue Sky Room when I discovered it a few years back, It had an extensive menu and all the Thai dishes I had were great. Times change and the community probably couldn't support a strictly South East Asian restaurant. That location (5855) is now a Mexican restaurant. Sengthong's Blue Sky Room (at 5843) has some South East Asian dishes on the menu, but it is quite limited. The meals I tried were still prepared wonderfully, but makes me long for the broader menu of before!
