I liked the ivy restaurant quite, it wasn't too busy when we eat her during the week. You usually choose from a menu that was about 35 euros. The selection was wide and the whole food was of good quality. Good selection of wine and beer completes the good impression of the restaurant.
We were really disappointed by the service at Ivy Restaurant. We asked if there was GF-Brot and the server naturally said, and then I never came back to us a simple update of unfortunately you hadn't been okay, but we sat on something that never came. The Lambry said it would come with picks that do not, disappointing in the cost of food. We got two pots to share potatoes for two people while the man next to us got the same part of the mash and vegetables for just him similarly disappointing in considering the prices. Our water was empty before our food even arrived and was never showed up throughout the whole meal. Then it took 20 minutes until our desserts arrive, which I suspect is up to my friend asking for a vegan option because of their milk intolerance. When our bill came, there were no prices apart from €10 supplement for steak, €4 for chips and €32 for the wine, everything else had a zero against them that we did not understand and so assumed that they had to use the €50 credit in our room. At check-out we were charged with a balance of €30 and our balance of €50 was used. However, we have never seen a breakdown of prices of food, as there were no prices on the menu. Overall we paid €126 for a meal (2 courses and a bottle of wine) that we felt was no value for money considering the substandard level of service for a place that loads this much to load to give context I go to the Merrion for a 3 course meal that costs € 120 for two people. Happy to pay for food and service when it meets the quality that is expected at such prices. Breakfast was also disappointing nobody asked us if we wanted tea/coffee and toast and it was difficult to get the attention of a server. I finally managed to ask for tea and white toast, but it came with warm brown bread and a teapot that had come out of the hinge on one side so that it would not really close. The main problem was a lack of attention to detail, which is quite frustrating when you pay such prices.
