Casa Mia - Dumfries

We ate in the bradley yesterday. I and my partner tried both meals from the new menu and we couldn't fail our experience at all. the food was nice and came in a good time. the personal was pleasant and made sure that we had everything we needed. they now also offer cranons and paper for children who have occupied and fun our daughters. can wait to try more dinge from the new menu.

Beautiful and airy, fairly fast service and good value food. the small fish and chips we ordered were much larger than expected.

Excellent, tasty breakfast. The evening meal I had was also enjoyable. The one pictured is £6.89. It makes a change to go into a pub that's part of a chain and have staff with personalities who speak to you properly, rather than the usual over-familiar robots who demand to know what kind of day you're having and sound like they've been programmed by marketing whizz-kids, who are fresh back from their course in America. The only negatives are if you're there alone, the two-seater table is in the middle of bigger tables (sit elsewhere if it's quiet). One evening I went there and was told I'd have to wait 1h for a table, but the next evening I was straight in. If you search for menus and opening times on a smartphone, it directs you to a sister pub in Birmingham, which differs slightly, e.g. it opens at 9am. This Grimsby one opens at 10am, which was fine by me, as I was in a hotel up the road.

My ex-girlfriend chose this place for her birthday dinner. The interior was a bit dim, and the booth we sat in had a torn seat. We opted for the "Golden Years" menu, which offered two courses for £5. I had the gammon, chips, and peas, which were great for a light lunch, and it left me just enough room for the delicious caramel apple cake topped with ice cream and custard! Unfortunately, there was a mix-up with our order; one item was missed by the bar staff and arrived about 10 minutes after the others. However, the staff quickly acknowledged their mistake and offered it on the house. I would consider returning, but maybe not for a birthday celebration!

The dining experience was delightful, and the staff was very polite and attentive to our needs.
