In The Park - Dumfries Galloway

I had a delightful experience dining at this restaurant. The food was excellent, reasonably priced, and served in generous portions. The service was outstanding, and the staff was very friendly.

They no longer serve meals, but they do offer crisps. The bartender was friendly. However, the view from the back of the hotel did not impress me.

We booked a weekend stay at the Park Hotel and after a 3-hour drive, we were warmly welcomed by friendly staff. They gave us a tour of the hotel and made a reservation for us at the restaurant. I must say, the food surpassed all of our expectations. The prawn cocktail was delicious and my sirloin steak with whiskey sauce was one of the best I've ever had. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his perfectly cooked Balmoral chicken. We are looking forward to another meal tomorrow.

Just had a fantastic meal here steak was great cooked perfect staff very friend and could not do enough for us . Five off us there for my daughters birthday 4 steaks one burger 2 starters 8 drinks for under £95 where else can you get value and service like that . Thank you for a lovely meal will be back soon . If you are in Dumfries give it a try you won't be disappointed

This is a very nice welcoming restaurant. We visited on a Thursday at 5.30pm so it wasn't at its busiest but we were made to feel very welcome and the spacious dining room was very well heated, spotlessly clean and warm. The meal was very well cooked and well presented and the service excellent. The only criticism I have is the limited choice of vegetarian dishes on offer.
