Bidra med feedbackThe best place in Carso Triestino for food, drink and service not to mention the idilliac location. I heard that now it is closed due to age of the owner my old friend of once.
Open to very local to international, friendly service and a mix of local dishes with international. Waiters do their best to speak English. We had a great 3 course dinner of which the bill was even the best surprise. We were 5 days in this region and cannot understand the low ranking of this place as we have eaten much worse in better ranked restaurants.
We stayed in the B&B of the Lupinc Azienda in a fabolous quiet apartment with spectacular seaview. After the beautiful nature hikes across the Karst or down to the sea we were happy to sit in the restaurant for dinner and enjoy the fresh local traditional food and especially the Lupinc wines. Our favourites were the autochthonous white Vitovska with the antipasti and the primo and the Terrano, a local characterful red wine for the secondo. The Terrano is bottled after aging in oak barrels for two years. Terrano fits very well to the meat dishes and I enjoyed it very much with the tripes. And don't miss the desserts.
