The Paddocks - Dublin

My first time in the paddocks and will 100 percent be back!!! We reserved our table a few before hand so when we came to the door we just told the member of staff the name on the booking and we’re seated straight away. Omg the choice/selection on the menus were class! So much drinks and food to choose from. I ended up having a koppeburg with wkd cocktail and chicken with melted cheese and bacon to eat. Just class! So tasty and the drinks were so nice aswell

I’ve been here many of times but my most recent experience in the paddocks will be the very reason I will never go there again. All staff I’ve dealt with on previous occasions are lovely and helpful However the Manager in there is a horrible bully and does not know a thing about customer service or doesn’t even have common courtesy to even offer an apology. A staff member had messed up on our orders. My partner had slightly picked at his and mine was untouched/ uneaten and when i asked for only part of it to be taken off the bill €6) I was advised the Manager had to be called over. She came over in an aggressive manner argued with me on it and repeatedly said it was what we ordered which wasn’t the case. Her reasoning for it not to be taken off the bill was it couldn’t be reused which wasn’t our fault it wasn’t what we ordered and again wasn’t touched or eaten. She argued with me while leaning over the table at me. No apology no nothing and stormed off once the full bill amount was paid. What was even more concerning to me was our food came out within 10minutes of us arriving it’s clearly all frozen food. When sharing my experience with friends family none were shocked or surprised and some have said she is known for her aggressive behaviour. Will never return.

I have went to this place over years have held a lot of family events there too , but the behaviour of the manager this day was absolutely shocking my partner received food she did not order and asked to take these certain items of the bill she refused and was so bullish about it the customer service was intimidating and she wouldn’t listen to our side or reason with us at all money is not the issue it wasn’t what we asked for so why should you pay The one thing I would advise everybody if you get the wrong dish usually if you ask to send it back for something else don’t be suprised if they leave a little suprise in it for you , I have two friends who are chefs and have said they have seen people spit into dishes for them reasons so I would recommend trying get it off the bill of possible you can’t trust humans anymore some sick people out there , I can safely say I will never return to this place. The fact that she is the manager she sets a terrible standard and that is concerning.

Poor food, burgers are frozen processed meat, loaded fries has cheese sauce which is awful and would be better with real gratted cheese. Too much to choose from on menu which leaves me to believe everything is frozen so it is quickly cooked, it would be better to reduced the menu size and make an effort on the quality of the food.

Visited The Paddocks today for lunch . Food was very good and would like to give a special mention to Edel...What a good worker...Great table service and all with a really good pleasant and friendly manner. Well done to her.
