Bidra med feedbackThe staff on reception were friendly and efficient. Out of the blue we were given an upgraded room on the top floor. The room was massive and the view was spectacular, it overlooked the harbour and it was stunning both day and night. The room was clean and contained everything you could need. We had dinner in hardys bar and it was delicious. The goats cheese salad was a good sized portion, it was fresh, creamy and tasty, the truffle fries and chicken wings were hot and crispy and the pints of Guinness were nice and cold. The staff were very accommodating and the service was professional, friendly and efficient. I gave 4 stars as the hotel could do with some maintenance. Thank you so much for such a lovely experience.
Lovely historic hotel. Really grand entrance with a great view of Dun Laoghaire. The rooms re grand. Front house staff not friendly. The staff at the Harry’s were lovely and those serving at the sitting area were very professional. The food was grand. close to the train station and all the shops. Will come back.
We stayed for 5 nights and we were over for a family wedding. It was a beautiful location and definitely had the “wow factor” as you walk into the hotel, the rooms were comfortable however, we got slightly confused as different lifts in the lobby took you to certain room numbers so be sure to check you’re in the right lift. Breakfast was a causal buffet style but got extremely busy around 8-9am the staff were quite slow on the breakfast shift and forgot to deliver our tea, coffee and toast to the table multiple mornings. The gym was very dated, there was a lot of cardio equipment but not much weigh lifting equipment, however all of it was looking very tired. The pool area was fantastic though, very “spa-like” and relaxing. We really liked that they had certain hours for kids so they could enjoy the pool too without disturbing the guests who would prefer a more peaceful swim, however make sure you bring a swimming cap or you’ll need to pay €3 for one before you enter the pool
This is the first hotel we stayed In Ireland. It is a very nice hotel, beautifully appointed! Our room was spacious with both a king and twin bed. The bar area and the breakfast area were great!
The location and exterior of the hotel is lovely, however the interior hasn’t been updated since the 70’s, brown carpet and lots of brown desk furniture. The sofa bed was very small and the springs were poking through, fortunately after a bad night sleep they provided us with an extra bed for our kids and were very quick to set it up. The breakfast was quite good, however it was pretty chaotic and the reception was so busy we had to queue to check out. It’s a very popular hotel for the mature traveller and there were a few people asleep on chairs near reception and a man passed out on a sofa with his dirty long toe nails all over it.
