Station Cafe - Dubbo

My wife and I took the XPT train from Sydney to Dubbo on February 10th, 2019. The staff on board was exceptional and went above and beyond to assist elderly passengers with meals and any issues they had. Graham was particularly friendly and enjoyable to talk to. He clearly loves his job and excels at it. We traveled in first class and hardly heard any noise, making for a pleasant journey. I have taken this train many times and have never encountered any problems. I highly recommend it to others, as they will not be disappointed. The food on board was also very good.

This cafe is situated in a convenient location for travelers to enjoy a meal before their journey. The coffee is excellent and the food is always fresh.

I came here for a coffee and snack in the morning and really enjoyed the cozy atmosphere. The coffee was well-made and the snack was delicious.

Really, the review I write here is for the trip itself, from sydney to dubbo, which ends at this beautiful station. the landscape from the western hanging of the blue mountain to bathurst and orange is a part of the most beautiful rolling terrain I have ever seen everywhere. the train is slow, but when the journey is this raised, what is the hurry? trains are clean and the customers are generally good behavior. there is a café car for the trip. they come at the beautiful dubbo terminal, right in the middle of the city, in the early afternoon.

This cafe only opens at 12 noon, a couple of hours before the early afternoon departure of NSWTrainLink's XPT to Sydney. I had some chicken which turned out to be a lot spicier than expected. Vanilla malt flavoured milk was overpiced at A$5 for a...carton. Service was prompt. There are several round tables in the airconditioned waiting room for patrons to use. The station building is beautifully restored and a pleasure to observe.
