The Meating House - Drums

Unfortunately, I've only eaten twice here. But I want to do it more often! The food is so amazing. I love it being family owned and running. I was here for the first time about 6 years ago when I visited family and went to dinner with a bunch of my gallow friends. The food was fantastic and they did amazing for a big group (I think it was 8 or 9 people). I went back a few weeks ago and her house dressing is the best I ever had. For a gallentines date with my beast and we had the brie, house salads, fish and chips and the scallops with the cream sauce (not remember the name) and it was all perfectly cooked and tasted better then it. The rice with which the scallops came was so good. The sweet potato saucers are a beautiful surprise and so delicious. The staff was very nice. It was a Friday night when I think no reservation and they got us into which was amazing. Go back to the area soon and plan to be regular because they are one of the best, if not best, restaurant in the area!

The food was excellent, the service was very good the prices very reasonable, especially when you consider the quality of the food. 3 of us ate including drinks and basic tip for $135...we left more on the tip because the service was that good, but that was a choice we made. We had 9 people in our group which can be a challenge for the kitchen staff but everything came out hot and at the same time. We have been there several times since this post and each time the experience has been awesome. Still going here....never disappointed!!

Amazing experience. Very friendly staff. The food is out of this world. Steak and seafood cooked to perfection.

Excellent food and service. The appetizers alone could be made into a meal. The outside area is well shaded and pleasant.

Went for a funeral luncheon. Food was terrible. Lemon chicken was literally boiled with zero lemon flavor. Beef tips were steakums broken up with gravy. 0 out of 10 would not recommend. edit I AM the family and never did we ask for fake steak and boiled chicken. Again... worst food I have ever had period and worst for a funeral... i have been to AND been the family of many. Thanks.
