Bidra med feedbackRecently decided to check this out and was pleasantly surprised. The signage does not set the stage well in my opinion. Apparently, the ice cream and waffle cones are homemade and do not use artificial food coloring. I would have likely tried this place out much sooner if this was more apparent from the outside. Anyways, I tried a waffle cone with watermelon jalapeño ice cream for one of the scoops, which was refreshing with a trailing hint of heat from the pepper. For the second scoop, I got lemon raspberry which was also light and refreshing for ice cream. The eagle cone is great. My family also tried the Cookie Monster and Reese pieces flavors, which they liked, but thought the Cookie Monster was excellent. Apparently, the flavors are rotated regularly. Will be back to try more!
So friendly! Quality flavors! It's so nice to see a small business with such potential! Veteran owner is a major bonus! So grateful for their service!
We were among the first to get to try the pumpkin roll and of course,it did not disappoint! Creamy,delicious...great things are ahead for Crave ,you can feel it! Try them ,it's the best! Simply spectacular!
Stopped just before they closed. Amazing selection and very nice staff. I think it might have been the owner. Two cones one strawberry yummmmmmy and the other peanut butter cheesecake . I had a cup of lemon blueberry. All homemade. We'll be back for sure!!! Want to try all the flavors.
As someone that 's been to 33 ice cream shops in/around Pittsburgh, this one ranks somewhere in my top 5. The ice cream itself is great--taste, texture, consistency, and not over-frozen. What really helps make this shop standout from the rest, are the flavors! For one, they rotate fairly frequently, so the options are never the same. Two, they are creative and unique! They have flavors like stained glass , which is like a cereal milk base taste with gummies as the mix-in, or my personal favorite, which is super simple, but I 've never seen anywhere else--strawberry Oreo. I also love that the mix-ins are perfectly adequate--not overdone, and definitely not lacking. I 'd say the prices are very fair and middle-ground. At $5.50/pint, that 's a little cheaper than other shops in my top five, but more than other places with lesser quality, so the price is on-point. Something that may not seem like a big deal, but is something I greatly appreciate, is the access to free water. Ice cream makes the average person thirsty, so this should be standard; Crave is one of two shops that offers free water, and the only one to offer Lactaid for purchase for those that are lactose intolerant! The little things really matter. The only thing they can improve upon is their social media presence. If they posted their menu board at least once a week (or more if the flavors change more often), people, such as myself, would see something that intrigues them, and immediately go to the shop. I would be there much more frequently if this were to happen.
