The Charleston Draper

I went out to dinner at the Charleston with my elderly mother and sister. We spent about $140 per head. The food was good (taste-wise) but it was so loud in the corner of the room of three tables where they seated us (we were flanked by two groups of 7—8 people); that it affected our whole dining experience and was, in effect, upsetting. I am originally from Brazil and decided to go to The Charleston because a good friend of mine told me about Brazilian options (cocktails and entrees) on the menu. I ordered a Brazilian cocktail, and the waiter responded with “I wish I had them.” None of the Brazilian cocktails were available that night, and the waiter did not seem very apologetic or particularly helpful/interested in making sure we had a good experience at the restaurant. Extremely mid. The atmosphere is nice and food is decent. The price for the portions is ridiculous. I left feeling hungry and got tacos after. There was zero lobster in my lobster bisque. I ordered a salad that had an allergen on it that was not stated in the menu description. It was 100 dollars for a steak that was small and half fat, a soup, and salad.
