City Diner - Downtown Kansas City

This place left me and my daughter sitting for over 30 minutes before placing order. Then we sat and watched people come in after us and be waited on and served their food. The food isn't all that great either.This was the worse place ever and if I could give no stars. I would. Run! DON'T EAT HERE!

Great staffers! Very accommodating to our group, even though they are not set up for groups.

Small place, BIG taste! I ordered the grilled chicken omelet and the 12 pancake. Both were great. The chicken was grilled perfectly, and the pancake was fluffy with a nice, crispy, buttered edge!

Took forever to get our order taken but the servers were polite. By the time we got our food it was and hour or so later. My omelette had bacon and when I cut it open the bacon was nearly raw so I sent it back. Other tables were served while my party was eating and I had nothing. The new one was good though and the hash browns were good too. You will need to season your food if you like flavor. Portion size is good also.

The food gave me food poisoning and ruined our plans for the rest of the week we were here, although it was good. Waitress was nice, and it felt like a diner however.
