Bidra med feedbackI recently had the pleasure of seeing Jim Jeffries perform at The Midland theater, and let me tell you, it was an experience to remember! The venue itself is absolutely stunning it's like stepping back in time to the glamorous era of the 1920s. The architecture is breathtaking, and the glass ceiling reminded me of the Carnival Valor cruise ship talk about grandeur! Despite not being able to take any photos during the show (which is completely understandable), I couldn't help but marvel at the beauty of the place. The sound quality was excellent, and the seating was comfortable, ensuring a fantastic viewing experience. Before the show, my companions and I dined at Power Light, conveniently located nearby, and parked in the same garage we usually use for events at the T Mobile Center. We appreciated not having to wait in long lines to get in, allowing us to fully enjoy the evening. And let's talk about the bathrooms they were super nice and clean, a small detail that definitely adds to the overall experience. All in all, I'm so glad I had the opportunity to visit The Midland theater. It's a gem of a venue, and I look forward to returning for future events.
Hadn't been to the Midland for some time and was looking forward to the comedy show that evening. First, I'll say that the two stars are more for how the ambiance turned out. The comedy show was just ok for me. 85 South Show if you're wondering. Where things changed for me is the number of people who decided to smoke inside the venue, all though there was police presence and security roaming around to discourage it. For a non-smoking person, this made the rest of my time at the show unbearable. The venue still looks nice. There was plenty of staff to assist, but I don't think even they could control the smoking in the venue, nor should that have been their responsibility. I will choose my events more carefully and should sometime from Midland Theater read this, I think enforcement might have to be reviewed for events going forward. Just a suggestion, though.
What a beautiful theater!! We've seen a few shows here. Bill Maher and now Lake Street Dive. Everyone is kind here. The bartenders, security staff, entry staff, everyone! There's no food here, so eat before or after you come. I recommend Lula a few blocks away. The seats are fine but small. But the hall itself is just a delight. What a treasure for our city!
This was beautiful theatre and it was my first time coming here. A couple of drawbacks: seats were small and no cup holders. bathrooms were small and very outdated (cold water faucet leaked. The bathrooms don't look like they've been updated since at least 20 years no parking lot: but this comes with a historic theatre in a busy downtown area Pros: gorgeous theatre we were sitting in the balcony (303 D) and could see the stage exceedingly well. acoustics were great Obviously I'm going to be coming back because you're coming for the concert, band, or show, but hopefully this review is helpful.
We headed to the Midland Theater in Kansas City last night to see a Sparks concert there, and I must say, it was awesome! The acoustics in that venue are pretty great. The positive vibes and collective enthusiasm emanating from all the Sparkies in attendance made for a truly unforgettable experience. Finding free parking downtown can be like looking for dear Aunt Mable, who's gotten lost again in the Walmart. It took some effort, but eventually, we found a spot on the street. It's probably better to park a ways away and ride the streetcar (or the Max buses at the moment the streetcar is out of commission for repairs). One area the Midland could improve on is the beer prices. I mean, seriously? $14 for one beer? Every cent I saved on cheap Sparks tickets was immediately spent on overpriced alcohol. I get it, they gotta make their money, but come on. Despite the beer cost, I'm giving the Midland Theater a solid 5 out of 5, just because the place itself is freakin' awesome! Even though I had to sell my firstborn for a cold one, it was still worth it.
