Bidra med feedbackAt this tea shop you can sit inside or outside. If you sit outside the seagulls watch beseechingly but don't cause too much harassment. The tea shop itself is poorly decorated but, in fairness, the whole place is undergoing repairs and maintenance. The cream slice was enormous, but rather dry and filled with confectioner's cream rather than real cream. The cream tea was rather disappointing and there was not enough butter available so low fat spread was the only option. The staff are pleasant but the cafe is altogether disappointing. Maybe it will improve when the building work is complete.
Fast service, cooked fresh, pleasant staff. Happily have a drink or light food here again. It is within a large shop, so nice to have a break whilst going around.
A friend and I had a coffee here and found the atmosphere lovely and welcoming. The service was good too. It was nice to have a catch up and a natter in peace and quiet.
Steer clear during school holiday time the food looked awful. I purchased a late coffee and muffin. The coffee was very watery with little taste and extremely strong. The muffin was tasteless and sweated in the middle. The staff are very young and did not make you feel welcome. They had a booking system on a Tuesday which was unnecessary and meant we had to wait 3 hours after travelling from Dover for our children, so we had to arrange alternative entertainment.
Ideally located in the shopping area, good for a quick drink and an opportunity to re-charge the shopping batteries !!!
